    Casedaisy vs. TheraPlatform

TheraPlatform is a practice management, EHR, and teletherapy platform — its centre of gravity is HIPAA-compliant video sessions, notes, and billing in one place. Casedaisy is for the opposite half of the job: therapists who physically drive to clients and need the day routed, the mileage counted, and the authorizations paced.

    Where TheraPlatform is strong

If a meaningful share of your sessions happen over video, TheraPlatform is built for exactly that, with the clinical and billing workflow attached.

    • HIPAA-compliant video conferencing built in, on every plan they advertise
    • EHR and practice management in the same product
    • Scheduling as a dedicated feature area
    • Therapy billing and online insurance claim filing
    • Published, self-serve pricing tiers on their website

    Where casedaisy is different

TheraPlatform removes the drive by putting the session on video. When the session has to happen in a living room, the drive is the problem — and that is the problem Casedaisy solves.

    • Drive-route scheduling: the day is sequenced by the drive between stops, with traffic-padded estimates
    • Automatic chain mileage: home base to first client, client to client, last client home — no manual log
    • Authorization pacing: delivered vs. authorized visits per period, with warnings before a window closes with units unused
    • Nap- and availability-aware planning: hard do-not-schedule blocks and soft preferences per client

Scope, stated plainly: Casedaisy is scheduling, routing, mileage, authorization pacing, and visit notes for therapists who drive to their clients. It is not an EMR, it does not submit insurance claims, and it does not run revenue cycle management. Many people run it alongside the system their agency already bills from.

    • You need mileage that reflects the route you actually drove.
    • Authorization periods are quietly expiring with units unused.

    Frequently asked questions

    Does Casedaisy do teletherapy?
Not with its own video. You can mark a visit as teletherapy and attach a meeting link from whichever platform you use; it syncs to your calendar and is excluded from drive time and mileage.
Is Casedaisy an EMR? Can it bill insurance?
No. Casedaisy is scheduling, routing, mileage, authorization pacing, and visit notes. It does not submit insurance claims or run revenue cycle management, so if you need billing you will either keep your current system or choose one that includes it.
    Does Casedaisy track authorizations?
Yes. Each client holds an authorization period with a start date, end date, and authorized visit or unit count. Casedaisy counts delivered visits against it, shows who is ahead or behind pace, and warns you before a window closes with units unused.
    What does TheraPlatform cost?
They publish tiered pricing on their own site, and promotional rates change, so we link their pricing page rather than reprinting a number here.
    Can I use both?
Yes. Some caseloads are mixed — video for some families, home visits for others. TheraPlatform can host the sessions while Casedaisy plans and measures the driving half of the week.
